Tree Care Services in Amawalk, NY
Amawalk sits in the wooded stretch of northern Westchester County, where mature oaks, maples, and evergreens frame the homes and line the quiet properties throughout the area. That kind of tree cover is part of what makes the region beautiful, but it also means homeowners here carry real responsibility for the health and safety of the trees on their land.
That is where we come in. Emerald Tree & Shrub Care Company has been caring for trees and properties across Westchester County since 1996, and you can reach our team directly at (914) 483-5725. We bring a premium, arborist-guided approach to every job, whether it is a single specimen tree in a backyard or the grounds of an estate.
Trees are living things, and they need attention that goes beyond the occasional trim. And when a tree is neglected, small problems tend to grow into large, expensive ones. Our tree care work in Amawalk covers the full range of needs a property owner runs into:
- Tree pruning and structural trimming to keep growth healthy and balanced
- Tree removal when a tree is dead, dying, or has become a hazard
- Storm damage cleanup and hazard reduction
- Cabling and bracing to support weak or split limbs
- Crown thinning and canopy management for light and airflow
- Stump grinding to finish the job cleanly
The reality is that tree work is dangerous, and it should be handled by people trained to do it safely. Our company is led by ISA Board Certified Master Arborist Steve Farrelly, alongside Kevin Wyatt, our VP of Arboricultural Services, and a field team of experienced arborists including Michael Wheeler, Pedro Meza, and William Demarest. Together, our team brings more than 100 years of combined experience to the trees on your property.
More Than Just Another Service Call
There is a difference between a crew that shows up to cut something down and a company built around the long-term health of your landscape. We take safety seriously, with mandatory weekly safety meetings, OSHA and ANSI compliance, and first aid, CPR, and electric hazard training for our crews. We also run a fleet of more than 34 specialized service vehicles with in-house maintenance, so the right equipment shows up ready to work.
And our reputation reflects that standard. We hold an A+ rating with the BBB and are a proud member of the ISA. Over the years we have earned the trust of clients ranging from private homeowners and gated communities to institutions like Fordham University, Woodlawn Cemetery, and Westchester Country Club. That same level of care goes into every residential job in Amawalk.
More Than Tree Care Alone
Healthy trees are only part of a healthy property. And once you address the trees, the surrounding plants, lawn, and soil often need attention too. Beyond tree work, we offer a broader set of services to keep your entire landscape thriving:
- Plant health care to diagnose and treat stressed or diseased shrubs and trees
- Lawn and property care to keep your grounds looking their best
- Pest and deer control to protect your plantings from persistent damage
- Arborist consultations and evaluations when you need a professional assessment
Deer pressure in northern Westchester is a genuine concern, and so are the insects and diseases that move through the region’s trees. Our arborists can evaluate what is happening on your property and put together a plan that fits it. If you are not sure what a tree needs, an evaluation is often the smartest first step.
Emergency and Storm Response
Storms do not wait for business hours, and neither do we. We offer 24/7 emergency service with a 24-hour emergency response for storm damage and urgent hazards. If a limb comes down on your driveway or a tree threatens your home, call us and we will get moving. You can reach that line any time at (914) 483-5725.
